• Abfüllung Schnaps Faude feine Brände

IT ALL STARTS – AT THE BEGINNING!

Every fruit brandy and spirit starts – right on the tree, the field and the orchard. After all, the glass can’t catch what the fruit doesn’t offer. It’s as simple as that, really. Of course, experience tells us that a sure instinct, a fine nose and a little bit of obsession also never hurt.

FAUDE FEINE BRÄNDE
IN A NUTSHELL

2006, Bötzingen am Kaiserstuhl, a smallish village in one of Germanies finest wine regions. Florian Faude is sweet 22 and seriously in love: with being outside, with the quality of fruits on his doorstep and – the ability to “bottle his passion” without compromise. The trained winemaker swaps wine for orchards, researches old fruit varieties and – makes regional “Schnaps” more than en vogue again. End of story? Not yet! Latest creations, varieties, awards? It's all: in the news!

VIVA LA REVOLUCIÓN: RUM MEETS RASPBERRY

Mojito? This sugary crushed-ice-lime-dishwater for brainless boozing? Whoa – hold it! You speak of the most famous Cuban Cocktail, my dear. And, with the right temperature and ingredients, it can be a magnificently refreshing drink. Best of all, it’s pretty damn simple to make.  Our Raspberry Mojito comes with a fruity freshness that takes the edge off the alcohol. The flowery rum carries the berries nicely forward. And the sweet and tart combination of raspberry and mint is definitely a summer classic.

RASPBERRY MOJITO

30ml of FfB Raspberry Spirit | 30ml of Havana 3 | 20ml of fresh lime juice | 2 barspoons of (white!) sugar | 2 sprigs of fresh mint| 60-80ml of Soda

Preparation: Put lime juice and sugar in a chilled highball glass. Give it a first good stir. “Activate” the mint: Place the sprigs in the palm of one hand and smack it with your opposite hand.  Add to the glass and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add the Raspberry Spirit and rum. Stir again and leave to rest for a few seconds. Fill with ice cubes and soda.

Glass: highball glass | Deco: a sprig of mint
